INDO601: Dayak Mandau Sword

An unusual Modang Dayak Mandau sword. The deer antler handle is intricately carved and utilizes the natural round section found at the base of the antler. The fine carving depicts multiple Aso figures and heads as well as the very unusual placement of a head on the bottom of the handle. The scabbard is in fine condition retaining most of the rattan binding, and the belt fastener is an aluminum washer.
