INDO624: Javanese Yogyakarta Keris

A very fine and complete Javanese Yogyakarta Keris. The handle, scabbard and fittings are 19th century, but the blade is most likely much older, possibly 200 or 300 years old. The blade is where all the magic is, so this is what would have been passed down as a family heirloom. This blade is well forged with an unusual and district Pamor pattern. The dark wood handle is finely carved in the traditional style with small monster faces. The overall has a good patina from age and use.

18" Overall with a 13" Blade. 19th century,Java, Indonesia.
