AF605: African Mongo / Konda Sword

A very nice sword from the Mongo or Konda peoples of Africa. The wood handle is incased in thin brass sheet and decorated with brass furniture tacks that were traded from Europe. The wide blade is very well forged with an intricate center section chiseled pattern decoration. Good over all patina from age and use.
