PH775: Moro Panabas Sword

A heavy Moro Panabas sword with an unusual blade. The heavy blade has a good pattern with hardened edge showing as well as the unusual top back edge where it is expanded is also sharpened. The wood handle is carved and bound with rattan. It is possible that the handle is early 20th century and that the blade is older at 19th century.    

30.5" overall with a 17" blade that is 4.5" wide at the tip and 5/16" thick at the back edge.. Early 20th Century, Southern Philippines.    ....Sold
