PH805: Moro Barong Sword

A 19th century Moro Fighting Barong. The burl wood handle has a silver collar and natural fiber woven bands. The bottom tip handle detail has an old loss to the tip of the carving. The well forged blade has an unusual and distinct bold pattern. The old scabbard is missing the tip and the blade sticks out a little bit.     

21.5” overall with a 15.5” blade that is 1/4” thick at the back edge. 19th century Southern Philippines.    ....$375.00
