AS607: Naga Dao Sword

Dao sword from the Naga headhunters of Assam. The wood handle has dyed red goats hair, and finely woven rattan bands. There is some old shellac sealer on the wood handle. The long thin blade is well forged, and the overall patina is good from age and use.    

33" overall with a 12" blade that is 2" wide at the tip. Late 19th or early 20th century, Assam.    ....Sold
