PH819: Moro Fighting Barong Sword

A very good small Moro fighting barong sword. The nicely grained wood handle has small complete details, and a silver collar that has two woven silver bands. The well forged blade shows a good strong pattern with a hardened edge. The scabbard is a 20th century replacement, but I believe made for use in the Philippines. There is a name written on the back side of the scabbard.     

19" overall with a 13" blade that is 1/4" thick at the back edge. 19th Century. Southern Philippines .    ....Sold
