PH824: Moro Datu Kris Sword

An outstanding Moro Datu kris sword with a 17 wave blade. The well carved cockatoo pommel is complete with good wear and patina from age and use. The twine handle wrap is a later addition and not as old as the sword, but I believe it was done in the Philippines for traditional continued use. The beautiful forged 17 wave blade shows a distinct flame pattern with large dark hardened edge. The scabbard is old, but missing both sides of the top.
