A large 17 wave Moro Kris with silver handle. This high quality Kris was made for an important person or Datu. The hands has multiple silver bands and end cap, with some black twine in-between the silver bands. The ganja is made from a separate piece of metal, and the single stirrup is silver. The well forged heavy blade has 17 waves and a slight pattern showing. 29 inches overall with a 24 inch blade. Late 19th or early 20th century, Southern Philippines. ....$850.00 |
