AF503: Zulu Shield

Small Zulu shield made for ceremonial dance or young warriors. Cow hide with the brown and white hair being in good condition. The back is cut and folded with the original stick handle still intact. The overall patina is good from age and use.     

Previously in an Australian collection that was said to be handed down through the family from around the turn of the 20th century.

32” Overall by 24 ½” tall hide 14 ½” wide. Mid to late 19th century, South Africa.    ....$650.00
