INDO630: Dayak Parang Latok Sword

A rare Parang Latok sword from the Dayak of Western Borneo. The handle is wood with a red tint and a woven brass wire handle wrap. The blade is very thick and heavy with the classic deep angle near the handle. The original scabbard is in good condition with some of the rattan woven binding remaining.     

30 3/4" Overall with a 22" Blade and 3/8" Back Edge. Early 20th Century, Borneo, Indonesia.
