PH739: Moro Panabas Sword

A beautiful 19th century Moro Panabas sword. The wood handle has all the original rattan binding and wrap, a steel end cap and steel front collar. The blade is oxidized dark from age, but still shows a slight patten and hardened edge. The pointed tip end has a sharp edge as the back edge of the blade near the tip. The overall patina is good and dark from age and use.    

34" overall with a 17" blade that is 5/16" thick at the back edge.. 19th century Southern Philippines.
