AF650: Fang Sword

A fine 19th century Fang short sword. The wood handle is intact and has brass wire, loops and tacks. The center cross section also has steel sheets and steel tacks as well. The blade is finely forged and thin with a raised central ridge, and intricate chisel designs on each side. The overall patina is good from age and use.     

19.5 inches overall with a 13 inch blade. 19th century, Gabon, Africa.
