PH831: Moro Bangkung Sword

A rare Moro Bangkung sword form Sulu. The wood handle has a twine wrap, and a small brass collar. The blade is smooth and clean, but shows a slight hardened edge. The original scabbard is in fine condition.     

23 inches overall with a 16.5 inch blade that is 3/16 inch thick at the back edge . Early to mid 20th century, Sulu, Southern Philippines.
